Vincent D'Alessio had no idea or plan to paint, however. He was simply an art lover and was educating himself by reading art books, as well as by seeing all of the art that he could. Until one night when a Street Painter colleague of his, a well-known New York artist, who paints mostly at night. They had been friends for years. He urged him to go outdoors painting with him. |

D'Alessio answered that he knew nothing about painting, but Simon would not take 'no' for an answer. They went painting together that night and painted the Brooklyn Bridge. And a new career began. D'Alessio had little interest in art until about ten years ago. At that time, he began going to museums and for the first time felt connected to art. He went around every day to all the museums and studied paintings and art; he was insatiable.
