Painter, Jacqueline Sferra Rada, a native of New York who lives and works in Manhattan has spent much of her life on Long Island both summering on its beaches and escaping to the solitude of those same beaches for fall and winter retreats.

Ms. Sferra began her formal art studies after graduation from high school at the Brooklyn Museum Art School and then received a B.A. in Fine Arts from Hunter College.

In 1990 she was selected to participate in the Masters Painting Program IV at Long Island University/Southampton Campus.

Sferra's current works are acrylic on paper, and inspired by landscape and the nuances of atmospheric changes.

Her sparse style and subtle tones reflect her deep bond to the vastness and simplicity of nature which she translates from the purely material to the reality which goes above and beyond the limits of the physical.
