Grand Central Station is located on East 42nd Street, across from the Whitney Museum, in mid-town Manhattan. David Pena painted this artwork from the top of the Lincoln Building, looking up Vanderbilt Avenue. This monumental mural painting, was done before the Pan Am Building became the Met Life Building. This painting also features the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the Graybar Building, the Yale Club, and the Queensboro Bridge on 59th Street. A very festive time in the city, Grand Central Station is just teeming with shoppers during the holiday season. Grand Central is even more spectacular since it was remodeled some years ago. Many of sightseer's pass through this magnificent stone canyon on their way to Rockefeller Center to see the annual Christmas Tree as well as the Skating Rink during the winter months. This painting features the Chemical Bank and the Merrill Lynch Commuter Express. Christmas
