| At night the streets of City Hall and Wall Street become silent. The bars and restaurants in Chinatown may remain open. Ferries and ships still dock at the Battery. | And there may be a street festival uptown on Mulberry Street. But in the financial district, the closely packed buildings echo the rumble of the subway, the honk of faraway taxis and not much else. |
