When I explore Origins as a theme, I might use symbols of the genesis of all peoples. I use them from mythology, from religion, from science and literature. Though I am convinced that my most profound work comes from my imagination, when I draw a living, breathing, human animal, I am sometimes so moved I am taken to "another place." And
I have hoped to see Indian people as accepting of their
sensuality and nudity as is common in the Western European
art tradition. For all this, I have waited a very long time.
