Judith Emerson examines the polarities found respectively in the Classical Old Masters and the Art of the Western World. She cultivates nuances of the present day societal influences that broadly affect American artists spanning across the land from east to west. She is deeply inflected in the anatomy and structure of the American Nude, as well as, the Native American Nude. Comfortable

In 2004, Judith Emerson had a magnificent one-person show at the American Indian Community House Gallery at 708 Broadway in New York city. This exhibition was made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency. Support was also provided by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
